Project Overview
We’re creating a new app to help people order snacks/food at a movie theater. We strive to find out if the main user experience, choosing a particular food/snack outlet in a particular movie theater and then placing an order which can be done in the theater, is easy for users to complete. We also want to understand the challenges experienced by the users during the process.

User Research Summary
I conducted interviews and created empathy maps to understand the users I am designing for and their needs. The primary user group identified was the adults who were very regular to the movie theatre with their families and friends.
This group confirmed the initial assumption that they didn’t want to waste their time in long queues for a snack and they also missed out on a few minutes of the movie because of it.
Pain Points
Time
Families or a group of friends come there to spend some time with each other. Instead they end up spending their time in the queue and sometimes they miss out a few minutes on the movie.
Accessibility
Platforms available for ordering food are not favourable for all the age groups or different groups of people.
IA
Over crowded apps are not easy for everyone to use. Even if a user can use, these kind of apps are tiring to use and can be time consuming.
